AT MOTIVENT TOTAL HEALTH, WE DON’T TREAT SYMPTOMS.
WE TREAT PEOPLE.
Our focus is on healing the whole person holistically. We achieve this through compassionate and integrative counseling. Whether a client is undergoing a challenge brought on by a recent event or a life-long issue, our commitment is the same: Courage. Compassion. Care. This speaks to the three step process by which clients engage our services. It takes courage on the part of an individual to reach out to others for help. Motivent Total Health in turn responds with compassion and care. Our service and commitment to care are grounded in a 50 year history of being on the leading edge of behavioral health services. Pain does not have to be forever. Everyone deserves health and happiness. We help clients reclaim theirs.
HOW WE HELP
SUBSTANCE USE

Alcohol and drugs, both legal and illegal are all a part of our culture. Together, we can help you determine if use is a problem, and if so, what goals you would like to set for yourself to lessen the problems. We use evidence based tools to help you try new strategies to help get your life back on track with either cutting down or abstaining from either alcohol or drugs or both.

COUPLES

It is normal for couples to go through rough patches in their relationships. Whether your relationship is new, challenged by child rearing, or empty nesting, our therapists can help each partner feel more fulfilled in the relationship. We help significant others learn new strategies for communication so that each party feels heard, appreciated, and honored for their courage to work on making the relationship better.

DEPRESSION AND ANXIETY

Depression and anxiety can have similar symptoms: nervousness, obsessive thoughts, and troubles with sleeping, eating and mood. These symptoms can leave you feeling miserable and sometimes struggling to get through the day. We use supportive therapy and evidence based strategies to help you see that there is help and hope, and that people can and do change and recover their lives.

TRAUMA

Trauma is defined as an overwhelming, frightening experience that leaves a person numb, sometimes with lasting symptoms, such as nervousness, trouble sleeping, and trouble with relationships. With compassion and caring, we help people learn strategies to cope with overwhelming thoughts and feelings. We can help you break free of things that have happened in the past that seem to take over your present life.
